Quality inspection and treatment of stamping parts

The stamping parts are mainly formed by pressing the metal sheet through the stamping die. In general, the temperature of the workpiece will rise quickly during the stamping process. The special stamping oil must be used to cool the workpiece. Otherwise, the problems such as scratch, rupture and surface potholes will appear. The following is a brief description of the quality inspection methods and common problems of the stamping parts under the YBB.


Stamping parts


1. The method of testing the quality of stamping parts
(1) oil smear test: use a clean brush to evenly oil the whole outer surface of the stamping parts along the same direction, and put the stamping parts coated on the strong light to test. It is suggested that the stamping parts be erected on the body position. With this method, it is easy to find tiny pock marks, shrunk ponds and corrugation on stamping parts.
(2) touch test: clean the surface of the outer cover with a clean gauze. The inspector needs to wear a touch glove along the stamping part to touch the surface of the stamping part longitudinally. If necessary, it can be used to polish the suspected areas and verify it. This inspection method depends on the experience of the inspector.
(3) checking the fixture: placing the stamping parts into the fixture and testing the stamping hook according to the operation requirements of the inspection manual.
(4) visual inspection: visual inspection is mainly used to detect abnormal appearance and macro defects of stamping parts.
(5) polishing of flexible gauze: polishing the surface of the stamping surface with flexible sand mesh and grinding it to the whole surface along the longitudinal direction. Any pock and indentation will be easily found.
(6) stone grinding: it is suggested that fine grained oil stone be worn along the longitudinal direction, and the surface of the stamping parts is well fitted to the surface. There are circular arcs and relatively small oil stones where it is difficult to contact, and some special places can also be used to supplement the horizontal grinding.


Two. Common problems and treatment of stamping parts
(1) the cause of the edge of the blanking: the effect is not obvious after the gap is too large to study the blade.
Solutions: replacing the guide or reorganizing mold cutting edge, controlling the machining precision of the concave die or modifying the design gap, adjusting the blanking clearance to confirm the wear of the template hole or the machining precision of the forming parts.
(2) the causes of the clogging are: the material is soft, the hole of the leakage is small or large, the surface of the die is rough, the powder is sintered and the blade is rolled, the use of the stamping oil is incorrect or the performance is not up to the standard.
Solutions: control the amount of stamping oil coating or replacement of special stamping oil, modify the blanking gap and leakage hole, the face of the punch edge repair the slope or arc, surface treatment and polishing, processing attention to reduce surface roughness.
(3) cause of bending deformation size variation: Die wear and material mechanical shape variation, bending guide part precision difference lead to wear, flushing edge cause bending bad, die structure and design size bad material thickness variation.
Solution: modify the design, add guide and prepress function, replace material, control feed quality, re grinding or replacing mold.
