1. The density is small and the intensity is higher.

2. Corrosion resistance

A series of corrosion resistant titanium alloys, such as titanium molybdenum, titanium - palladium, titanium - molybdenum - nickel, have been developed for the needs of metal materials in the production of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, methylamine solution, high temperature wet chlorine gas and high temperature chloride. Titanium -32 molybdenum alloy was used in titanium castings, and titanium -0.3 molybdenum -0.8 nickel alloy or titanium equipment was used locally for the application of titanium -0.2 palladium alloy for the environment of frequent crack corrosion or pitting.
3. Good heat resistance
Usually, aluminum at 150 degrees C and stainless steel lose its original performance at 130 degrees centigrade, while the new titanium alloy still maintains good mechanical properties at 600 temperature or higher. When the airplane speed reaches 2.7 times of the speed of sound, the surface temperature of the aircraft structure reaches 230 degrees.
Titanium has good heat resistance. It can be used in aero-engine, rear fuselage and heat affected parts of engine.
4. Good resistance to low temperature
Titanium alloys, such as TA7 (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn), TC4 (Ti-6Al-4V) and Ti-2.5Zr-1.5Mo, are represented by low temperature titanium alloys, and their strength increases with the decrease of temperature, but the plastic changes are not significant. It keeps good ductility and toughness at -196-253 C and avoids the cold brittleness of metal. It can be used in liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen rocket engine, or the ideal material of cryogenic vessels and tanks on manned spaceship.
5. Strong anti damping performance
When metal titanium is subjected to mechanical vibration and electric vibration, its self vibration attenuation time is the longest compared with steel and copper metal. This property of titanium can be used as a vibrating element for tuning fork, medical ultrasonic grinder and vibrating loudspeaker for advanced loudspeaker.
6. Special functions of non-magnetic, non-toxic, titanium and alloy.
Titanium is a non-magnetic metal and will not be magnetized in a large magnetic field. It is nontoxic and has good compatibility with human tissues and blood, so it is adopted by the medical profession.
